Server Not the Same as Index or Tape Server

Error Description

This error is seen on the Restore Now page of ZMC when the backup server is not authorized to restore to the hostname given as the Destination Host Name on the Restore where page in ZMC. This indicates that the backup server host name or IP address does not match the one given as the index and tape server in file /etc/amanda/amanda-client.conf on the restore client machine.

Solution

Make sure that the backup server is authorized to restore to the remote client by listing its host name or IP address as the index and tape server in file /etc/amanda/amanda-client.conf on the restore client.
