Overview
- The certificates on the Zmanda 5.1.5 version are set to expire on a yearly basis. Once the certificates expire, the functioning of the server will be affected.
- For Zmanda to function seamlessly, please ensure that the certificates are regenerated upon expiry.
- The certificate regeneration can be done using the zmanda-cert-regen.sh utility.
What does the utility do?
- Generates a new set of certificates required by Zmanda to function correctly.
- Replaces the old certificates with the newly generated certificates.
- Restarts the main Zmanda services:
- run-zmanda-backup-server.service
- run-zmanda-zmc.service
Steps to run the utility
- Download the zmanda-cert-regen.sh script using the following command
- wget https://cdn.zmanda.com/downloads/Utilities/5.1.5/zmanda-cert-regen.sh
- Move the script in /var/lib/amanda
- mv zmanda-cert-regen.sh /var/lib/amanda
- Move into the /var/lib/amanda
- Give the script executable permissions, using the command chmod +x zmanda-cert-regen.sh.
- Run the script.
- ./zmanda-cert-regen.sh
