How to abort a running backup

Info Description:

In some situations it may be necessary to prematurely abort an Amanda backup.1. Please run this command as user “amandabackup”:

amcleanup -k BackupSetName
amcleanup: Process driver found running at pid #27620.
amcleanup: Process taper found running at pid #27621.
amcleanup: Process taper found running at pid #27626.
amcleanup: Process dumper found running at pid #27622.
amcleanup: Process gzip found running at pid #27821.
amcleanup: Process dumper found running at pid #27623.
amcleanup: Process dumper found running at pid #27624.
amcleanup: Process dumper found running at pid #27625.
/usr/sbin/amcleanup: Sending process 27620 the SIGTERM signal.
/usr/sbin/amcleanup: Sending process 27621 the SIGTERM signal.
/usr/sbin/amcleanup: Process 27626 no longer running. Skipping...
/usr/sbin/amcleanup: Process 27622 no longer running. Skipping...
/usr/sbin/amcleanup: Process 27821 no longer running. Skipping...
/usr/sbin/amcleanup: Process 27623 no longer running. Skipping...
/usr/sbin/amcleanup: Process 27624 no longer running. Skipping...

2. The backup process should now be aborted.
